COACHING CHANGE AGENTS FOR THE TRANSFORMATION ECONOMY
the opportunity
As a Certified Partner of Kaospilot Experience Design in Denmark, we were invited to mentor, participate and collaborate on designing BECOME, a 4-week international virtual learning experience for creative change agents who want to lead in the emerging transformation economy.
The idea for this program arose in response to the shared human experience of COVID-19 and the shifts creating a “new normal”. Whether at work or in one’s personal life, many were asking, “how can we carry on with the positive changes that have come about from this pandemic and create better futures through real transformation in our selves, our organizations, communities or societies?”
Given this backdrop, the program’s objective was to help designers, leaders, facilitators, entrepreneurs, managers, artists, innovators, doers, and makers design transformative experiences that could lead to positive futures. Each participant was tasked to use a current project they were working on, with the intent of using this for their Transformational Experience Design.
the design
The learning experience was spread out into 2 sessions per week for 4 weeks using a self-directed learning approach. They were guided by curated content and personalized feedback from coaches. We facilitated 6 design sprints within the 4 weeks that helped participants shape their reflections and strategies and transform them into ideas and action. the impact
The outcome was a full Transformational Experience Design for each participant’s project. Each of these were rooted in a clearer understanding of personal purpose linked to work and each participant’s specific project. Participants also learned about tools and methodologies on reframing strategies for the Transformation Economy. The BECOME Program continues to be one of the signature professional programs of the Kaospilot School for Creative Leadership & Entrepreneurship in Denmark.
